LOS ANGELES — All-natural lubricant developer Sliquid has teamed with Babeland.com to create a specialty Pink Lemonade variety, with 10 percent of retail sales going to the Young Survival Coalition (YSC) in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month.
“Our natural flavored lubricants have been a Babeland best-seller for years, and creating and selling an exclusive taste that no one else has would be a no-brainer way to raise money for a cause near to all of our hearts,” Sliquid CEO Dean Elliott said. “Our chemists worked one-on-one with Babeland reps to develop our wonderfully light and refreshing Pink Lemonade that will be a hit with both men and women nationwide.”
Following its exclusive Babeland debut, the new flavor will be available to retailers nationwide starting Nov. 1. Both Semans and Elliott said that they anticipate this formula to be a top-seller on par with Sliquid’ s Green Apple variety because of its slightly sweet yet tastefully light flavor.
“Pink Lemonade is whimsical and we wanted the flavor to be compelling for those who have never tried a flavored lubricant,” Semans said. “Sliquid already carries several well-crafted flavored lubes so we had full faith in Dean’s ability to produce the perfect combination of sweet and tart. The Babeland staff taste tested six different formulas before selecting the winner.”
The companies said they look forward to helping raise money for an organization that caters to a demographic that so closely matches Sliquid’ s and Babeland’s.
“We want to partner with organizations that synch with our mission and vision and that was certainly the case here,” Semans said. “Our customers are the same people they’re serving and it seemed appropriate to connect them. We have a lot to offer women living with cancer and cancer survivors.”
The Young Survival Coalition is an organization dedicated to working with young women affected by and afflicted with breast cancer. YSC works with survivors, caregivers and the medical, research, advocacy and legislative communities to increase the quality and quantity of life for women diagnosed with breast cancer ages 40 and under.
